Maxxis UST-certified tubeless mountain bike tires feature the latest technology for the lightest tubeless tires. This technology offers improved puncture resistance, better air retention, and greater strength at a lower weight than previous tubeless tires. The addition of a thin layer of fabric covered with a special rubber compound results in a lighter, stronger, and more airtight casing.
It's a material added to the sidewalls of select mountain bike tires that's extremely resistant to cuts and abrasions. This layer has a dense, super-lightweight, highly flexible weave that doesn't affect the tire's performance.
