Versatility and completeness
The Astra retains its road-riding vocation, but attention to detail has made it less nervous and more comfortable. Lightweight but without pushing the carbon frame (weighing approximately 980 grams) to the limit, it adopts Basso's high-end technological solutions.
The 35mm tire clearance allows you to fit wider tires and venture onto dirt roads and gravel roads.
Geometry
The Astra's geometry is the lowest of all, derived from the steel models. A platform improved year after year, retaining its racing DNA but making it versatile and capable of adapting to those who aren't athletes who ride every day. An evergreen in continuity with the previous model, but capable of improving from model to model, making it more versatile.
Cockpit
For Astra we adopt two different “cockpit” solutions developed by our internal team:
In the version with Shimano 105 Di2 groupset, the bike is assembled with a Paradigma stem and Microtech All Road handlebars, while, when configured with Shimano Ultegra Di2 and Sram Rival Axs , the bike comes standard with the integrated carbon Levita handlebar.
3B Clamp system Gen 2
A completely concealed seatpost mounting solution that is invisible on the frame, combining technological innovation and aesthetics.
The result is a lightweight, invisible, and strong integrated three-bolt system, further enhanced by vulcanizing the steel deck. This Basso solution gives the 3B system an anti-vibration function, enhancing the driving experience by increasing comfort on uneven and bumpy surfaces.
